As Lewis County residents, Doug and I have been actively involved in this community for many years. For the past 23 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as the Executive Director of United Way of Gilmer, Lewis & Upshur, and I also recently retired from Peterson-Central Elementary School as a finance secretary. Doug has spent many years coaching Little League and Babe Ruth baseball.

With a large family of our own, we know how challenging it can be to find the right place to host gatherings and celebrate special moments. When the former American Legion Hall became available, we saw an opportunity—not just for our family, but for our entire community.

Our vision for All Occasions Hall is to create a welcoming space where people can come together to celebrate life’s milestones—whether that’s birthdays,, baby and bridal showers, reunions, meetings, or even times when we simply need to support one another. We’re also excited to offer decorating and event planning services in the future to help make those moments even more special and stress-free.
